Lodging:

The programming committee has created a hotel block for discounted stay at the Sheraton La Jolla, located directly across from UCSD’s main campus. http://www.sheratonlajolla.com/

Below is the information for how to book your discounted room:

To receive the discounted rate, reference FAQ when reserving your room. Please call (858) 453-5500 to reserve your room. To received the discounted rate you must book your room by April 1st (if this deadline is extended, we will notify you via email).

The discounted rate is at $129 per night for single and double bed rooms. The following is the number of rooms blocked per night:
Thursday May 1: 2 rooms
Friday May 2: 10 rooms
Saturday May 3: 10 rooms

To help with booking and scheduling, our tentative conference schedule has us beginning Friday, May 2 at 1:30pm, and ending Saturday, May 3 at 6:30, followed by a musical performance and social hour on campus from roughly 8-10pm.

The total number of non-UCSD participants is 13, therefore, if you would like to share a room with another conference participant to help cut down on costs, please be in touch and we will distribute information to those parties who would like to coordinate.

Transportation:

From the Sheraton La Jolla to the Cross Cultural Center (located in the campus Price Center) is a 15 min walk. Please see the following map for directions. For personal accommodations regarding transportation from the hotel to the Cross Cultural Center, please email the FAQ programming committee.

From the San Diego airport to the Sheraton La Jolla, the average taxi rate is between $35-40.

There are also several airport-to-door shuttle services with average cost of $20.00 per person one-way (prices subject to change).

Parking on Campus:

The rate for weekday parking is $8 per day. Parking passes may be purchased at designated kiosks in every parking lot. Visitors who purchase day passes can park in designated “V,” “B,” or “S” spaces. There is no fee for parking on Saturday. The nearest parking structure to the Cross Cultural Center is the Gilman Parking Structure.
